AWS & Azure Network Engineer (Cloud Networking, Hybrid Connectivity & Network Security) Department : IT Infrastructure / Network Engineering Employment Type : Full-Time Experience Level : 4-8 Years About The Role We are looking for an experienced AWS & Azure Network Engineer with strong expertise in cloud networking, hybrid connectivity, network security, and enterprise routing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, supporting, and troubleshooting network infrastructure across AWS, Azure, SD-WAN, and on-premises environments while ensuring high availability, security, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Cloud Networking - AWS & Azure Design, implement, and manage AWS and Azure networking solutions across multi-cloud and hybrid environments. Configure and troubleshoot AWS VPCs, Subnets, Route Tables, Transit Gateways, VPC Peering, Direct Connect, and VPN connectivity. Configure and troubleshoot Azure VNets, Subnets, User Defined Routes (UDRs), VNet Peering, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateways, and NSGs. Support hybrid cloud connectivity between AWS, Azure, data centers, and remote sites. Routing, Switching & WAN Perform advanced troubleshooting of routing, switching, WAN, and cloud networking issues. Manage and optimize BGP, OSPF, static routing, route redistribution, NAT, and VPN technologies. Support and troubleshoot SD-WAN environments including traffic steering, WAN optimization, and site connectivity. Network Security Configure, administer, and troubleshoot FortiGate and Check Point firewalls. Collaborate with security teams to implement firewall policies and network security controls. Manage and troubleshoot Zscaler (ZIA/ZPA) integrations and secure internet access solutions. Operations & Documentation Conduct network performance analysis and implement improvements for availability and resiliency. Participate in incident management, root cause analysis (RCA), and problem management activities. Create and maintain network architecture diagrams, SOPs, and technical documentation. Required Skills & Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 4-8 years of handson experience in enterprise network engineering, with at least 2+ years in cloud networking (AWS and/or Azure). Strong working knowledge of AWS networking services : VPC, Subnets, Route Tables, Transit Gateway, VPC Peering, Direct Connect, and VPN. Strong working knowledge of Azure networking services : VNet, Subnets, UDRs, VNet Peering, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, and NSGs. Solid understanding of routing protocols BGP, OSPF, static routing, and route redistribution. Handson experience with NAT and VPN technologies (sitetosite, pointtosite, client VPN). Experience configuring and troubleshooting FortiGate and/or Check Point firewalls. Experience with SD-WAN platforms and traffic steering/WAN optimization concepts. Experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA or similar secure access/SASE solutions. Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills across network, security, and cloud layers. Ability to create clear network architecture diagrams and technical documentation. Good To Have AWS or Azure networking certifications (e.g., AWS Advanced Networking Specialty, Azure Network Engineer Associate). Fortinet NSE or Check Point CCSA/CCSE certification. Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform/CloudFormation/ARM templates) for network provisioning. Exposure to ITSM tools for incident and change management. (ref:hirist.tech) .
