About the role
The Technical Professional – Instrumentation/Controls supports instrumentation and control engineering activities for industrial projects. The role focuses on instrument specification, data management, procurement support, and technical evaluation to ensure high-quality engineering deliverables. Key Responsibilities Prepare and maintain instrument index, IO lists, and instrument datasheets Develop Material Requisitions (MRs) for procurement of instrumentation and control equipment Conduct technical bid evaluations and provide recommendations for instrument selection Ensure instrumentation and control deliverables comply with project specifications, standards, and client requirements Support SPI (Smart Plant Instrumentation) or equivalent instrumentation engineering tools for design and documentation Collaborate with project engineering teams to ensure consistent and accurate instrument design data Assist in reviewing vendor submittals and technical documentation Support instrumentation and control engineering tasks from FEED through detailed design phases Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Instrumentation, Electrical, or allied Engineering 7 to 15 years of relevant experience in instrumentation and control engineering Hands-on experience in SPI or similar instrumentation engineering software Knowledge of instrumentation specification, datasheets, and Material Requisition processes
