Software Development Engineer - Test

Role Overview: As a QE Engineer for highly scalable systems, you will be responsible for designing and coding core components of automation frameworks, creating custom functions and libraries, and solving technical problems efficiently. Your role will involve adapting to new frameworks and platforms with limited guidance, writing SQL queries, and ensuring adherence to QA processes. In addition, you will be expected to have a good understanding of OOPS concepts and possess strong programming skills in Java, Groovy, or JavaScript. Key Responsibilities: - Experience with QE for distributed, highly scalable systems. - Strong programming skills in Java, Groovy, or JavaScript. - 1-2+ years of automation experience in UI and API Automation. - Expertise in solving technical problems. - Design and code core components of at least one type of framework (Keywords, POM, BDD, TestNG, JUnit, etc.). - Ability to quickly adapt to any new framework and platform with limited guidance. - Create custom functions and libraries with minimal support. - Proficient in writing SQL queries. - Hands-on experience working with Postman or similar tools. - Understanding of SOAP and REST principles. - Good Understanding of BDD, TDD methodologies, and tools like Cucumber, TestNG, Junit, or similar. - Hands-on experience in performing Request and Response Schema validation, Response codes, and exceptions. - Soft Skills: - Possess excellent communication skills (written, verbal both formal & informal). - Help create a positive, collaborative working environment for the team. - Quick grasping and flexibility to adapt to new technologies/processes. - Ability to multi-task under pressure and work independently with minimal supervision. - Ability to prioritize when under pressure. - Efficiently make tough decisions and communicate them effectively. Qualifications Required: - Good understanding of OOPS concepts. - 1-2+ years of automation experience in UI and API Automation. - Proficient in Java Programming Knowledge (OOPS concepts, basic loops, Arrays, collections, Trees, Stacks & Queues). - Experience with Test Management tools like ATM, QC, etc., and Defect Management tools like Jira, QC, etc. - Experience on Traceability and Test Design techniques. - Able to write basic SQL queries (using joins). - Understand and knowledgeable on APIs. - Understanding of NFT testing tools (good to have).
