Learn more about what we do.

Our award-winning culture embraces a bold vision of where technology can take us and a passion for tackling challenging problems with industry-first solutions. We believe that when people feel a sense of belonging, they can be more creative, innovative, and thrive at all points in their careers.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities Design and develop FPGA-based subsystems for Keysight test and measurement products, from architecture definition through RTL implementation, simulation, synthesis, timing closure, hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation. Develop and maintain FPGA designs using Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL, ensuring compliance with product specifications and performance requirements. Evaluate and select FPGA architectures and solutions that optimize performance, area, power, and cost while meeting design objectives. Perform functional verification, prototype characterization, hardware validation, and root cause analysis to ensure design quality and reliability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including system architects, hardware, software, and project managers, to translate customer and product requirements into effective FPGA solutions. Lead technical discussions and design reviews, providing technical guidance on architecture decisions, design trade-offs, and critical issue resolution. Drive continuous improvement by researching and adopting new FPGA technologies, methodologies, and design practices to enhance Keysight's test and measurement solutions.

Required Strong understanding of digital logic design and RTL development using Verilog/SystemVerilog or VHDL. Experience with FPGA synthesis, implementation, timing analysis, and basic functional verification. Familiarity with Xilinx or Intel FPGA development tools.

Preferred Hands-on FPGA product development experience from RTL design through synthesis, timing closure, hardware bring-up, debugging, and validation. Experience with high-speed digital systems, including ADC/DAC interfaces, DSP algorithms, embedded processors, ASIC integration, or high-speed serial interfaces. Knowledge of industry-standard interfaces and protocols such as DDR, AXI, JESD204, PCIe, Ethernet, SPI, I²C, and UART. Understanding of timing closure, clocking architectures (PLL/MMCM/DLL), clock domain crossing (CDC) analysis, and physical implementation strategies. Experience developing verification environments, test benches, and performing hardware debugging using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, or FPGA debugging tools.

Qualifications

The candidate must hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering, or an equivalent degree. The candidate must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience for this position. The candidate should possess experience in designing FPGA/ASIC and implementing it at the system level. The candidate should possess experience in VHDL/Verilog coding, logic simulation, and synthesis, as well as familiarity with design tools such as Xilinx Vivado/ISE, Altera Quartus, Modelsim, and Synplify Pro. The candidate should have a solid understanding of basic electronics and system design, the ability to test and validate using test equipment, and the ability to solve problems. The candidate should demonstrate teamwork, a strong desire to learn, a strong passion, and a forward-thinking mindset.
