AI Engineer

As a leading customer service platform powered by AI and automation, Helpshift is seeking AI Engineers who are passionate about building intelligent systems using cutting-edge technologies like Generative AI, NLP, and Machine Learning. In this role as an Entry-Level AI Engineer, you will collaborate with experienced engineers and data scientists to create and implement AI-powered solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing conversational AI systems, automation workflows, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) pipelines, and machine learning applications to improve customer support experiences. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain AI/ML applications using Python. - Build and optimize NLP pipelines for text processing, classification, information extraction, and semantic search. - Create Generative AI solutions with Large Language Models (LLMs). - Implement Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) systems utilizing vector databases and embedding models. - Design prompts and assess LLM responses for quality and performance. - Collaborate on deploying and monitoring AI applications in production. - Build APIs and AI services using frameworks such as FastAPI. - Assist in model training, fine-tuning, evaluation, and experimentation. - Utilize MLOps tools for automating model deployment, monitoring, and versioning. - Participate in code reviews, testing, debugging, and documentation. - Stay updated on emerging AI, NLP, and Generative AI technologies. Qualifications Required: - Strong programming skills in Python. - Understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms. - Knowledge of Machine Learning fundamentals. - Familiarity with NLP concepts including Tokenization, Embeddings, Text Classification, NER, Semantic Search, and Transformer Models. - Understanding of Generative AI concepts such as LLMs, Prompt Engineering, and RAG. - Experience with AI/ML frameworks like PyTorch or TensorFlow, Hugging Face Transformers, and MLOps tools. - Basic knowledge of SQL databases, vector databases, REST APIs, and FastAPI. In addition to technical skills, Helpshift is looking for candidates with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related fields, hands-on experience with AI/ML projects, familiarity with cloud platforms, and strong problem-solving abilities.
