About the role
Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs using C# and ASP.NET Web API. Build scalable, secure, and high-performing backend services. Collaborate with frontend developers, architects, and product teams to define API contracts and integration requirements. Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code following established coding standards. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement of development practices. Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues. Contribute to API documentation and technical design discussions. Ensure applications meet performance, security, and reliability requirements. Support CI/CD processes and automated deployments where appropriate. Required Skills & Experience Robust commercial experience with C#. Strong experience developing ASP.NET Web API applications. Excellent understanding of RESTful API design principles and best practices. Experience with JSON, HTTP, authentication, and API security (e.g., OAuth, JWT). Solid understanding of object-oriented programming and software design principles. Experience with source control (Git). Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Desirable Skills (Not Essential) Experience with any of the following would be advantageous: GraphQL Bicep (Infrastructure as Code) Azure DevOps Pipelines Microsoft Aspire Dapre Kubernetes Nice to Have Experience with cloud-native application development on Microsoft Azure. Familiarity with microservices architecture. Knowledge of automated testing (unit and integration testing). Experience with containerisation technologies such as Docker.
