About the role
Kforce has a client that is seeking a Project Engineer in Warren, MI.
Overview: The candidate will be responsible for design and release engineering of bumper, grille, fascia and trim components. This may include upfront design and development and/or program launch/current product continuous improvement execution. This person will be responsible for managing design and development of their components and working cross functionally with multiple other teams (studio/program team/purchasing/supplier quality/supplier/manufacturing/etc.). They will own and manage their parts list and will work to meet all development milestones on time and with quality. They will lead root cause analysis and problem resolution of issues that range from warranty to assembly plant issues. This person will be responsible for leading a PDT (Product Development Team) to drive issue resolution, quality improvement, cost reduction, and design optimization.
Bachelor's degree required in Engineering or related technical field
At least 2 years of experience
Basic knowledge of computer software, such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, MS Excel Visio etc.
Automotive experience is always a plus
Self-starters, well organized and quick learners
Design/Release experience
Root cause and problem-solving abilities
Strong communication skills both within unit and cross functionally
Exterior experience is a bonus
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
