Job Description Senior Associate ( Platform Engineer) Job Title: Senior Associate Backend Engineering Experience: 8 12 Years Location: South India (Remote) Employment Type: Full-Time About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate with 8 12 years of experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise-grade applications. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in .NET technologies , SQL Server , NoSQL databases , cloud-native application development , and container orchestration platforms . This role requires excellent communication skills, strong analytical abilities, and the capability to collaborate with global teams while mentoring peer developers. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-performance enterprise applications using the Microsoft .NET technology stack. Build and optimize RESTful APIs and microservices for cloud-native applications. Develop efficient database solutions using SQL Server, NoSQL databases, and MPP (Massively Parallel Processing) databases. Design scalable data models and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and indexing strategies. Deploy, monitor, and manage applications using Kubernetes and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS). Work with AWS cloud services for application deployment, monitoring, storage, and infrastructure management. Troubleshoot production issues, identify root causes, and implement long-term solutions. Participate in architecture discussions and contribute to technical design decisions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, QA, DevOps, and Business stakeholders. Review code, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior engineers. Ensure applications follow security, performance, scalability, and reliability best practices. Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives. Required Skills Technical Skills 8 12 years of software development experience. Strong experience with: C# .NET Framework / .NET Core / .NET 6+ ASP.NET Core Web API Microservices Architecture Strong expertise in Microsoft SQL Server Query optimization Stored Procedures Performance tuning Indexing Experience with NoSQL databases such as: MongoDB Cassandra DynamoDB Cosmos DB (preferred) Experience with MPP databases such as: Amazon Redshift Azure Synapse Analytics Snowflake Greenplum Vertica Hands-on experience with: Kubernetes Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) Good working knowledge of AWS services including: EC2 S3 RDS IAM CloudWatch EKS (preferred) Experience with Docker and containerization. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins. Strong understanding of distributed systems and cloud-native application architecture. Experience with Git version control. Preferred Qualifications Experience with event-driven architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, or AWS SQS/SNS). Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation). Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or Application Insights. Exposure to DevSecOps practices. Microsoft Azure or AWS certifications are a plus. Soft Skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong stakeholder management and client-facing communication. Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences. Excellent problem-solving and analytical thinking. Self-driven with the ability to work independently. Strong mentoring and leadership capabilities. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced Agile environment. Educational Qualification Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
