About the role
Role Overview We are seeking a seasoned GCP Data Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade data and cloud solutions. This role will be responsible for defining end-to-end cloud and data architecture, driving strategic decisions, and enabling scalable, secure, and high-performance data ecosystems for our clients. Key Responsibilities Define and drive enterprise-level data and cloud architecture strategy. Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance data platforms on GCP. Design end-to-end cloud architecture including data, application, and integration layers. Build and optimize data lakes, warehouses, and real-time data pipelines. Lead solutioning using BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Pub/Sub, and Cloud Storage. Establish data governance, security, and compliance standards (especially in Healthcare domain). Partner with business and technology stakeholders to deliver value-driven solutions. Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and architecture guidance to teams. Ensure performance optimization, cost efficiency, scalability, and reliability. Drive best practices in DevOps, CI/CD, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). Required Skills & Experience 12 to 15 years of experience in Data Engineering / Data Architecture / Cloud Architecture. Strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) with 5+ years of hands-on experience. Proven experience in defining and implementing cloud architecture strategies. Deep knowledge of BigQuery and modern data warehousing architecture. Strong experience in designing large-scale ETL/ELT and real-time data pipelines. Strong programming skills in Python and SQL. Expertise in data modeling, performance tuning, and distributed systems. Experience with Airflow / Cloud Composer and orchestration frameworks. Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance (Healthcare preferred). Experience in client-facing roles, solutioning, and stakeholder management. Good To Have Experience with other cloud platforms like AWS and Microsoft Azure. GCP Certifications (Professional Data Engineer / Cloud Architect). Experience in Healthcare domain (HIPAA or similar compliance exposure). Experience in BFSI or enterprise-scale data transformation programs. Exposure to AI/ML-driven data platforms.
