As an Asst. Manager / Dy. Manager Team Member for Paint Shop Manufacturing Engineering (New Color Development) at Kia India Pvt. Ltd. in Penukonda Mandal, Andhra Pradesh, your role involves being responsible for new color development, color validation, paint process optimization, supplier coordination, and successful launch of new vehicle colors while ensuring quality, cost, and production targets are achieved. Key Responsibilities: - Plan and execute new color development activities from concept to SOP. - Coordinate with HQ, suppliers, QC, R&D, and cross-functional teams for color approval and implementation. - Conduct color matching validation, standard panel preparation, and paint quality evaluations. - Manage paint trials, pilot builds, and production launch activities for new colors. - Analyze paint defects and implement corrective actions to improve process quality. - Coordinate with paint suppliers and purchasing teams for material selection and vendor finalization. - Support robot parameter validation and process optimization for new color applications. - Prepare project budgets, monitor trial costs, and support payment clearance activities. - Develop and maintain paint specifications, trial reports, control plans, and quality documentation. Qualifications Required: - B. E. / B. Tech in Mechanical, Chemical, Paint Technology, Automobile, or Production Engineering. - 5-10 years of experience in Automotive Paint Shop, New Color Development, Process Engineering, or Paint Quality.
