Senior Network & IT Engineer Work Location: Yashobhoomi Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), Dwarka Sec 25, New Delhi The Senior Network Engineer / Network Manager is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end IT infrastructure and ensuring high availability network operations across the Yashobhoomi convention complex. The role includes planning, implementing, and maintaining network systems, server environments, wireless Environment and large-scale event IT setups. The position to coordinate with vendors, and act as the technical lead during major conferences, exhibitions, and VIP events Key Responsibilities - Plan, maintain and manage IT infrastructure including networking and WiFi systems for events. - Vendor / Stakeholder / Client Coordination Manage IT requirements and coordinate with ISPs, suppliers and stakeholders to deliver seamless technology solutions Core Responsibilities: - Design and implement security solutions across LAN/WLAN/WAN environments. - Configure and manage security tools: firewall, intrusion detection systems, VPN - Capable of describing in detail, maintaining and troubleshooting Wireless Campus technologies in the scope of an end-to-end wireless service - Hands-on experience implementing, administering, monitoring, managing, and troubleshooting Wireless environments - solid knowledge with Cisco wireless technologies, including Cisco WLC and vWLC controllers - Comfortable with Corporate wireless, guest wireless and mission-critical factory environments - Operational understanding of network security principles and practices, DOT1X, MAB, Port security and Cisco ISE. - Experience with Cisco Wireless, expertise in WLAN standards, Cisco WLC 8500/9800/5508, IOS-XE, 802.1X authentication, and Cisco certifications (CCNA/CCNP/CCIE Wireless preferred) - Deploy, configure, and troubleshoot Cisco wireless infrastructure, handle L2/L3 escalations, perform IOS upgrades, conduct wireless surveys, and interact with clients - Deep understanding of WLAN technologies, network management, and security, including IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax WLAN standards and industry best practices. - Excellent understanding of Cisco wireless infrastructure and architecture. - Hands on Experience on Cisco WLC models like 9800, 8500, 5508 with HA SSO and all models of Cisco APs including wave 2 and next generation 9100 series APs. - Deploy and configure WLC in HA mode and test / validate / document HA capabilities - Must have experience on next generation wireless solutions IOS-XE (9800 WLC and 9100 AP). - Experience on 802.1X Authentication protocols WPA2/WPA3-Enterprise, Web portal authentication, Role based access control (RBAC) Policies. - Solid knowledge and recent experience with current and upcoming wireless RF standards on Wi-Fi, 802.11a/b/g/n/ac/ax/be. - Extensive knowledge of security protocols and authentication (Wi-Fi Protected Access [WPA2/WPA3], Extensible Authentication Protocol-Transport Layer Security [EAP-TLS], Extensible Authentication Protocol-PEAP, 802.1X, Authentication, Authorization, Accounting [AAA]) and Multi-Factor Authentication. - Level 3 skills and knowledge on wireless protocols, traffic flow, end to end wireless network topology, encryption, and roaming architecture. - The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on expertise in Cisco ISE authentication troubleshooting, posture assessment, endpoint profiling, and production support operations - Coordinate with Cisco TAC when required. - Provide day-to-day operational support for Cisco ISE 3.x infrastructure - Monitor and maintain Cisco ISE services and authentication workflows - Handle production incidents and ensure minimal downtime - Design, deploy, and maintain Cisco ISE for wired, wireless, and VPN access control. Develop and enforce NAC policies based on user identity, device posture, and security compliance. Integrate Cisco ISE with third-party security tools (e.g., Fortinet, Palo Alto) Mandatory - Manage RADIUS, TACACS+, and 802.1X authentication services. Monitor and respond to network access violations and security incidents. Maintain endpoint profiling, guest access, and BYOD onboarding workflows. Nice to have skills - Solid hands-on Experience in cisco switches and Technologies as VTP, STP, HSRP,VRRP, ACL, port-channel, VLAN TRUNK, VLAN, - Firewall management, IDS/IPS, Palo Alto with Panorama - Fortigate firewalls management and hands-on experience - Implement, and maintain wireless networks across multiple locations and within each single site. - Support the setup and roll-out of monitoring and management solutions - Collaboration & Integration - Support integration with: - Active Directory (AD) - Cisco WLC - Access Points - Security & Access Control - Experience with: - Cisco AnyConnect Posture - Endpoint Profiling - Posture Policies Required Qualifications - Bachelors degree in IT/Computer Science Experience: Minimum 5 years relevant experience (events/hospitality preferred) Certifications: .
