Head Solar & BESS EPC Design

Hiring: Head – Solar & BESS EPC Design Department: Engineering & Design Location: Chennai / Ahmedabad (with project site travel) We are seeking an experienced Head – Solar & BESS EPC Design to lead the engineering and design of utility-scale Solar PV and Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects from concept through construction support. Key Responsibilities: Lead multidisciplinary engineering for Solar PV, BESS, pooling substations, and evacuation systems. Oversee civil, structural, electrical, mechanical, and protection & control design. Review and approve layouts, SLDs, equipment specifications, design calculations, and construction drawings. Drive design optimization, standardization, value engineering, and compliance with applicable codes and standards. Coordinate with project execution, procurement, OEMs, consultants, utilities, and clients to ensure timely engineering deliverables. Provide technical leadership during tendering, project execution, commissioning, and design issue resolution. Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical, Civil, Mechanical, or related Engineering. 15+ years of experience in engineering and design of utility-scale Solar PV and BESS EPC projects. Strong expertise in grid interconnection, substations, transmission systems, design management, and engineering standards. Proven leadership in managing multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex renewable energy projects.
