System Engineer

Summary /Purpose of the role The purpose of this role is to: - System engineering for mechanical scope of work. Shall prepare schematic and general arrangement for pumping system and Hydro Power scheme. Shall prepare technical specifications for various mechanical equipments (like Pump, turbine, valves, REJ, Crane, piping, OPU, LOS, Gear box Piping) Give technical support to site, purchase for offer evaluation. Shall prepare AC and ventilation system sizing calculation, Fire fighting system calculation, Pump Head calculation. Shall be able to resolve site issue related to mechanical activities. Shall give technical assist during proposal engineering and detail engineering work. Shall do feasibility, capability study and preparation of design basis report of mechanical scope of work. Key Responsibilities Checking of the Pump selection, PHGA drawing, pumping system layouts, hydro power layouts etc. Sizing of various equipment i.e., pump, valve, crane, auxiliary system, forebay equipment’s, OPU, MIV etc. Perform auxiliary cooling water system, drainage and dewatering system design. Perform crane sizing, AC Ventilation sizing, piping design, support plate design etc. Check of various Layouts of auxiliary systems, forebay side equipment’s, delivery side equipment’s. Skills Knowledge of Indian & International codes and standards. Having hands on operation AutoCAD, MS excel and software. Shall have good verbal & written communication skills. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite. Conceptual knowledge of the basic mechanical design aspects.
