About the role
Job Description Design & Simulation Tools: High proficiency in PLECS, PSIM, or MATLAB/Simulink for circuit simulation, and Altium Designer, Eagle, or Cadence Allegro for schematic capture and PCB layout. Lab Instrumentation: Advanced hands-on experience using high-voltage differential probes, current probes, digital oscilloscopes, power analyzers, and electronic loads. Thermal Management: Basic understanding of heatsink calculations, thermal interface materials (TIMs), and forced-air cooling design. Wide Bandgap Technology: Exposure to Silicon Carbide (SiC) or Gallium Nitride (GaN) switching circuits and their unique gate-driving requirements. Digital Control Awareness: Basic understanding of digital control concepts (Microcontrollers/DSPs/FPGAs) used in power electronics. DFx Principles: Knowledge of Design for Manufacturing, Design for Testing (DFT), and Design for Reliability (DFR).
