Senior Manager Software Engineering - Digital Services M/F

Responsibilities Engineering Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of approximately 15 software engineers. Establish a high-performance engineering culture focused on accountability, collaboration, innovation, quality, and security. Conduct performance reviews, career development discussions, coaching, and succession planning activities. Support hiring, onboarding, retention, and capability development of engineering talent. Foster employee engagement and create an inclusive work environment that encourages ownership and technical excellence. Drive adoption of engineering best practices, coding standards, secure development practices, and quality-focused development approaches. Demonstrate excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Communication should be clear, regular, and relevant, ensuring stakeholders are consistently informed and aligned. Delivery Management: Own end-to-end delivery of assigned software products and platform capabilities. Collaborate with Product Groups, Core Technology Platform, Architects, DevOps, Cybersecurity teams, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into execution plans. Manage sprint planning, estimation, prioritization, capacity planning, and release management activities. Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within scope, budget, and quality expectations. Identify, assess, and mitigate technical, delivery, security, and resource risks. Track and report key delivery metrics. Our requirements Experience & Education: Bachelors degree in Engineering (BE/BTech) in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related engineering discipline. 15+ years of hands-on experience developing scalable solutions using .NET for backend development and modern frontend frameworks. 3+ years of experience leading software engineering teams. Proven experience managing teams of 10-20 engineers. Experience delivering cloud-based enterprise software products. Hands-on experience designing and developing secure software solutions. Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to lead technical discussions and mentor junior developers. Experience working with geographically distributed and multicultural engineering teams. Experience with AI-assisted software development processes, tools, and workflows. Technical Skills: Strong experience with C#, .NET Core, microservices, and REST APIs. Experience with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and modern frontend development. Working knowledge of Python. Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform. Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines, and DevSecOps practices.
