Functional Consultant - PeopleSoft HCM (Global Payroll & Benefits)

We are looking for an experienced Functional Lead PeopleSoft HCM to drive a large-scale Payroll Transformation Program across the EMEA and APAC regions. The ideal candidate will have extensive expertise in PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 , with a strong focus on Global Payroll, Benefits, and third-party payroll integrations . This role requires a techno-functional professional who can redesign business processes, lead global payroll transformation initiatives, collaborate with development teams, and ensure seamless integration between PeopleSoft and regional payroll vendors. You will serve as the key bridge between business stakeholders, payroll vendors, and technical teams to deliver scalable, compliant, and efficient payroll solutions. Key Responsibilities Lead end-to-end functional activities for global payroll transformation projects across EMEA and APAC. Analyze existing payroll and benefits processes, identify gaps, and design optimized future-state business workflows. Gather, analyze, and document business requirements and translate them into detailed Functional Design Documents (FDDs). Manage integrations between PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 and third-party payroll providers such as ADP, Alight, and regional payroll vendors . Collaborate closely with technical teams to validate Application Engine, SQR, Component Interface, and Integration Broker developments. Configure and support PeopleSoft Global Payroll and Benefits modules for multi-country implementations. Develop comprehensive UAT strategies , regression testing plans, test scenarios, and test scripts. Coordinate with payroll vendors, business users, and development teams to ensure accurate inbound and outbound data integration. Perform root cause analysis for payroll issues, integration failures, and data discrepancies. Ensure compliance with regional payroll regulations, tax requirements, GDPR, and country-specific statutory requirements. Support production deployments, post-go-live stabilization, and continuous process improvements. Communicate technical solutions effectively to business stakeholders and regional teams. Required Skills & Qualifications 8+ years of hands-on experience in PeopleSoft HCM 9.2 Functional Consulting . Strong expertise in: PeopleSoft Global Payroll PeopleSoft Benefits Administration Payroll Transformation Programs Multi-country payroll implementations Experience managing integrations with global payroll vendors including ADP, Alight , or regional payroll providers. Strong understanding of PeopleSoft technical architecture including: Application Engine SQR Component Interface Integration Broker Advanced SQL skills for data validation, troubleshooting, and reconciliation. Experience preparing: Functional Design Documents (FDD) Business Requirement Documents (BRD) Test Plans Test Scripts UAT Documentation Strong knowledge of payroll business processes across EMEA and APAC. Experience working in Agile or hybrid project environments. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and problem-solving skills.
