About the role
Operate, calibrate, and maintain advanced analytical instruments (e. g. , HPLC, UV-Vis Spectrophotometer, FTIR, DSC, Particle Size Analyzer, etc. ). Prepare SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) and calibration logs for all instruments. Supervise analytical work and ensure data accuracy, reproducibility, and documentation. Schedule instrument usage for internal departments and external users. B. Maintece & Compliance Ensure routine and preventive maintece through trained personnel or authorized vendors. Maintain instrument-wise service records, calibration certificates, and usage logs. Implement laboratory safety protocols (chemical handling, electrical safety, fire safety). Maintain laboratory compliance with institutional and regulatory norms (CPCSEA, NABL, AICTE, PCI). C. Training & Supervision Conduct demonstrations and training sessions for UG, PG, Ph. D. students, and faculty. Supervise students/researchers performing analytical testing. Train new staff or interns on lab protocols and equipment handling. D. Research & Documentation Assist in method development, validation, and data interpretation. Maintain logbooks, test reports, and instrument performance data. Support preparation of technical reports, publications, and project proposals. E. Coordination & Administration Coordinate with departments for scheduling analytical support. Handle external sample analysis requests (e. g. , from I-STEM, industries, or research collaborators). Maintain inventory of consumables and manage budget utilization for repairs and upgrades.
