About the role
As an experienced GCP & Apigee Engineer, your role will involve designing and implementing a secure, scalable, and highly available API management platform on Google Cloud. You will be responsible for designing hybrid cloud connectivity, establishing network architecture, deploying Apigee gateways, and ensuring secure communication between on-premises and cloud environments. Key Responsibilities: - Design and implement GCP network architecture, including VPCs, subnets, and routing. - Create a dedicated VPC for on-premises connectivity and centralized routing. - Establish and manage Partner Interconnect connectivity between on-premises and GCP. - Design and configure isolated VPCs for SIT, QA, Stage, and Production environments. - Configure VPC peering between environment VPCs and the centralized connectivity VPC. - Deploy and configure Apigee Gateway for API management across environments. - Coordinate DNS setup and SSL certificate implementation for Apigee custom domains. - Develop high-level and low-level architecture designs covering networking, security, connectivity, and API management. - Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and architecture teams to review and approve solutions. - Support implementation, testing, deployment, and operational readiness activities. Required Skills: - Google Cloud Platform (GCP) - Apigee X / Apigee Hybrid - VPC, Subnets, Routing, VPC Peering - Partner Interconnect / Hybrid Connectivity - Cloud DNS and SSL/TLS Certificate Management - Network Security and Access Control - Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred) - Architecture Design and Documentation Preferred Qualifications: - Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Certification - Google Cloud Professional Network Engineer Certification - Experience with enterprise API management and hybrid cloud environments - Strong stakeholder communication and architecture governance experience Key Deliverables include: - Dedicated Interconnect VPC setup - Partner Interconnect implementation - Environment-specific VPC architecture (SIT, QA, Stage, Prod) - Apigee Gateway deployment and configuration - DNS and SSL certificate setup - Architecture and security design documentation - Architecture review and approval support - Production-ready cloud and API management platform deployment As an experienced GCP & Apigee Engineer, your role will involve designing and implementing a secure, scalable, and highly available API management platform on Google Cloud.
