Senior Database Developer/Lead - Stored Procedure

Our client, a leading global technology and engineering organization, is looking for an experienced Senior Database Developer/Lead with strong expertise in PostgreSQL and Oracle databases. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in database development, SQL programming, performance optimization, and data modelling. Key Responsibilities : - Design, develop, and maintain enterprise database solutions using PostgreSQL and Oracle. - Develop, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, and triggers. - Perform database performance tuning and query optimization. - Design database schemas and data models for new applications. - Ensure database security, integrity, and availability. - Support database administration activities including backup, recovery, and monitoring. - Troubleshoot database-related production issues and implement performance improvements. - Collaborate closely with application development teams to deliver scalable database solutions. - Create and maintain technical documentation. - Guide and mentor junior database professionals. Required Skills: - 10+ years of overall database development experience. - Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in PostgreSQL. - Minimum 3+ years of hands-on experience in Oracle Database. - Strong SQL programming skills. - Expertise in: 1. Stored Procedures 2. Functions 3. Triggers 4. Views 5. Query Optimization - Experience in database performance tuning. - Strong understanding of database design and data modelling concepts. - Experience supporting enterprise production databases. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. - Good communication and stakeholder management skills. Preferred Skills : - Experience with MySQL is an added advantage. - Exposure to Linux/Unix environments. - Experience working in Agile development environments. - Ability to work in cross-functional teams.
