About the role
As a Senior Network Engineer in our team, you will play a crucial role in supporting a large-scale SD-WAN deployment and upgrade project across 1,000+ locations. Your primary responsibilities will include overseeing installations, coordinating with field technicians, configuring network infrastructure, and ensuring seamless SD-WAN integration and performance optimization. Key Responsibilities: - Remotely oversee installation and turn-up of SD-WAN appliances at customer locations. - Support deployment and integration of SD-WAN solutions across multiple sites. - Coordinate with on-site technicians and field engineers during implementation activities. - Configure routing, switching, and network parameters to support SD-WAN deployments. - Push configuration updates to network devices to accommodate new SD-WAN infrastructure. - Perform pre-installation validation and post-deployment testing to ensure connectivity and performance. - Troubleshoot network and deployment issues remotely and provide timely resolution. - Monitor network performance and optimize traffic flow and segmentation. - Maintain deployment documentation, configuration records, and status reports. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including project management, operations, and vendors. Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of experience in Network Engineering, preferably supporting enterprise environments. - Hands-on experience with SD-WAN deployments (e.g., VeloCloud, Cisco SD-WAN/Viptela, Fortinet, Aruba, or similar). - Robust knowledge of routing and switching protocols (BGP, OSPF, VLANs, QoS, NAT, VPNs). - Experience working with enterprise networking vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Aruba, Arista, etc. - Experience coordinating with remote field teams and managing deployments across multiple sites. - Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in distributed network environments. - Ability to work independently in a fully remote setup with minimal supervision. - Willingness to work night shifts to support global deployment schedules. In addition to the qualifications mentioned above, preferred qualifications include experience with large-scale multi-site network rollouts, knowledge of network security, relevant certifications, familiarity with network monitoring tools, and prior experience in remote deployment or migration projects. Please note that this is a four-month contract position with the potential for extension. The work model is fully remote, and the shift is during night hours from Monday to Friday.
