Engineer

Design Engineering: Prepare and review single-line diagrams (SLDs), cable layouts, earthing layouts, and electrical system design for solar PV plants. Select and specify electrical components like inverters, transformers, switchgear, protection systems, and cables. Conduct load flow, short circuit, and protection coordination studies. Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards (like IEC, IS), and utility requirements. Procurement Support: Prepare technical specifications for procurement of electrical equipment. Evaluate vendor offers from a technical standpoint and support vendor selection. Execution Supervision: Supervise installation of electrical equipment like solar modules, inverters, transformers, HT panels, and grid interconnection systems. Ensure electrical works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards. Coordinate with civil and mechanical teams for interdisciplinary activities. Quality Safety Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control procedures for electrical installations. Ensure adherence to site safety norms during electrical works. Commissioning Testing: Conduct pre-commissioning checks, testing of electrical systems (megger testing, Hi-pot testing, relay testing, etc.). Support synchronization of the plant with the grid and monitor initial operational parameters. Documentation Reporting: Prepare daily/weekly progress reports. Maintain updated documentation including as-built drawings, test reports, and commissioning reports. Key Skills Competencies: Strong knowledge of electrical systems related to solar PV plant Familiarity with SCADA, communication systems, and remote monitoring setups. Good project management, communication, and coordination skills. Ability to handle contractors, vendors, and third-party inspectors. Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) - mandatory. Additional certifications in Solar PV Systems are a plus. Experience: 2-4 years of experience in electrical engineering roles in solar ground mount or utility-scale solar projects.
