About the role
Job Title: Base Software Development - Powertrain Controller Location: Bangalore (BLR) Experience: 3-10 years Education & Training: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunication, Power Electronics & Instrumentation, or a relevant stream. Job Responsibilities: Develop, integrate, validate, and document AUTOSAR-based embedded software for the Master Powertrain Controller in future PHEVs/BEVs. Elicit, clarify, and review software requirements. Analyze required inputs/outputs, parameterizations, and propose innovative design solutions. Document high/low-level designs, source code, and unit tests. Collaborate closely with designers, developers, QA teams, partners, and suppliers. Support function/system testing execution (PIL/SIL/HIL/Vehicle). Participate in technical and project forums for information gathering, clarifications, and reporting. Engage in short-term international travel as required. Skills & Capabilities: Mandatory: Experience in the full function/software development cycle, from requirements to validation. Hands-on experience configuring AUTOSAR BSW stacks, RTE/Application Layer, and OS configuration. Proficiency in Embedded-C, Perl/Python, and CAPL programming on Windows platforms. Familiarity with ECU/microcontroller architecture and communication protocols (Ethernet, FlexRay, CAN, LIN, I2C, SPI). Experience using data acquisition, analysis, and debugging tools (Vector DaVinci Configurator, CANoe, CANalyzer, CANape, Lauterbach TRACE32). Knowledge of embedded static code analysis, test framework creation, and testing (unit, MC/DC integration, functional). Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), JIRA, Confluence, and DevOps tools (CI/CD, Jenkins, version & configuration management). Strong problem-solving skills and ability to propose innovative solutions. Experience in Base Software Module Configuration, IPduM, PNC, Signal Routing, and CanTp. Expertise in diagnostics and memory layout in BSW. Proficiency in debugging on target devices and analyzing protocol traces (CAN/Ethernet). Knowledge of AUTOSAR 3.x/4.x, ARXML, and the Vector toolchain. This role requires a strong technical foundation in embedded systems, AUTOSAR, and automotive powertrain software development, along with the ability to collaborate in a dynamic, cross-functional environment.
