About the role
Team Overview: - Cantors Information Security team safeguards the firms global infrastructure through proactive network security operations - Collaborates with internal stakeholders and third-party vendors to secure firewalls, remote access, and critical network components - Hands-on role protecting network infrastructure with minimal oversight - Lead troubleshooting, resolution, and optimization of complex network security issues - Analyze performance metrics to ensure security, capacity, and reliability - Drive automation and monitoring initiatives for operational efficiency - Collaborate with teams, vendors, and customers to deliver secure, scalable solutions - Champion ITIL processes for change, incident, and problem management Key Responsibilities: - Manage and maintain Next-Gen Firewalls, Load Balancers, WAF, Remote Access, and DDoS protection - Perform implementations, configuration changes, and equipment upgrades accurately - Work with vendors to resolve technical issues and maintain lifecycle management - Mentor junior team members with technical guidance - Stay updated on emerging technologies and evolving security landscapes - Define network security requirements and collaborate on design and deployment (10%) - Support network security implementations and configurations (40%) - Conduct root cause analysis, provide recommendations, and execute solutions (25%) - Collaborate with SOC, NOC, MSPs, and IT management to resolve technical issues (25%). Qualifications & Skills: - Bachelors in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; 7+ years hands-on experience. - Technical expertise: Palo Alto Firewalls, F5 Load Balancers, VPNs, Agile Routing (BGP/OSPF). - Networking certifications preferred (Palo Alto, Cisco, Juniper). - Knowledge of AWS/Azure cloud networking and security, Splunk/logging solutions a plus. - Must work in rotational schedule, 24x7 on-call, and after-hours maintenance.
