About the role
Job Description: As a Lead Engineer at our company, you will have the opportunity to build the core of India's next-gen NBFC engine. You will be responsible for leading the engineering technology behind our NBFC platform, where AI-augmented workflows play a foundational role. Your key responsibilities will include: - Architecting, building, and maintaining core backend/data systems for credit pipelines, risk engines, and transaction workflows, utilizing AI tools such as Copilot, Roo, Cursor, and prompt-based agents to accelerate delivery. - Shipping rapidly with AI-powered MVPs, measuring product impact, iterating based on feedback, and operationalizing high-quality features. - Owning end-to-end delivery, from problem framing through design, code, deployment, monitoring, and iterations. - Mentoring and leading engineers to drive code quality, reviews, ownership, and continuous improvement. - Collaborating cross-functionally with credit, risk, product, and compliance teams to deliver technical solutions that align with regulatory requirements. - Implementing DevOps best practices, CI/CD pipelines, observability tools, and AI-enabled automation to reduce manual overhead and speed development cycles. Qualifications: To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications: - 4+ years of experience in software engineering, preferably in fintech or high-throughput systems with almost 0 error rates. - Experience applying AI tools (LLMs, agents, prompt systems) to real development or product workflows. - Demonstrated success in shipping production-scale systems that are scalable, reliable, and secure. - Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or equivalent from (NIT/IIT) only, with strong system design and architecture skills. - Prior work experience at startups or fast-growth firms where you owned delivery under ambiguity and tight timelines.
