Engineering Manager - (AI Applications)

As a Software Engineering Manager at UKG, you will be leading a team of software engineers dedicated to working on the next-generation AI Platform. Your responsibilities will include: - Providing engineering leadership and mentorship to a team of software engineers, approximately 7 members - Being a strong engineering leader responsible for executing the UKG AI roadmap using agile practices - Managing, leading, and motivating cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams of software engineers to achieve strategic and tactical business outcomes - Mentoring and growing engineers in your team to foster a culture of teamwork - Partnering with others at UKG to ensure engineering tasks are well-understood, broken down, and implemented to the highest quality standards - Collaborating with team members to solve challenging engineering tasks on time and with high quality - Encouraging the skill growth of your team members - Assisting and adhering to the enforcement of project deadlines and schedules - Actively communicating with team members to clarify requirements and overcome obstacles to meet team goals - Working with development teams in an agile context as it relates to software development Key Qualifications for the role include: - 12 or more years of experience in the software engineering industry with a track record of increasing responsibility leading software development initiatives - Experience with Software Development Lifecycle and Machine Learning Lifecycle - Experience as a senior software engineer using popular programming languages such as Python, Java, C#, Scala, etc. - Software development experience including object-oriented programming, concurrency programming, modern design patterns, RESTful service implementation, micro-service architecture, test-driven development, and acceptance testing - Experience with software testing concepts and tools such as white/black box, coverage, mocking, PyTest/xUnit, Selenium - Experience with GCP technologies such as BigQuery, GKE, GCS, DataFlow, Kubeflow, and/or VertexAI - Experience with tools used to automate the deployment of an enterprise software solution to the cloud, including Terraform, GitHub Actions, Concourse, Ansible, etc. - Excellent leadership and communication skills Education/Certification/License required: - Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computational Linguistics, or a similar field UKG is an Equal Opportunity Employer committed to maintaining a diverse and inclusive work environment.
