About the role
Design and develop cloud architecture strategies, blueprints, and transformation roadmaps Lead the migration of existing applications to cloud platforms (eg, AWS, Azure, GCP) Define cloud standards, best practices, and governance policies Evaluate and recommend cloud services and architecture patterns Work with security and compliance teams to ensure regulatory compliance Provide guidance to DevOps, development, and infrastructure teams Collaborate with business units to define cloud solutions that align with strategic objectives Perform cost-benefit analysis for cloud implementations and optimizations Troubleshoot complex issues and provide high-level support and guidance Mentor junior architects and engineers Technical Skills: Cloud Platforms: AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform Infrastructure as Code: Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Azure Bicep Containerization: Docker, Kubernetes (EKS, AKS, GKE) CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions Security: IAM, VPC, Key Management, Compliance Frameworks (HIPAA, GDPR, SOC2) Scripting: Python, PowerShell, Bash Monitoring: CloudWatch, Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog Architecture Frameworks: TOGAF, Zachman, AWS Well-Architected Framework Qualifications: Masterdegree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field 7 to 10+ years of IT experience with 35+ years in cloud architecture roles Mandatory Cloud certifications such as: AWS Certified Solutions Architect Professional Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert Google Cloud Professional Cloud Architect Experience in hybrid cloud environments and multi-cloud strategies Soft Skills: Strong communication and stakeholder management Strategic and analytical thinking Leadership and mentoring abilities Project management and agile methodology experience Problem-solving and decision-making skills
