Junior Design Engineer - Electrical

Key Responsibilities: Assist in preparing Single Line Diagrams (SLD) for electrical systems. Work on equipment layout designs for substations and switchyards. Conduct cable sizing and scheduling calculations. Support the preparation of earthing, lightning, and lighting layouts. Assist in transformer sizing and power cable selection. Review vendor drawings and control & relay panel designs. Perform basic sag tension and short circuit force calculations for conductors. Collaborate with the senior engineering team for project execution. Key Skills: Electrical Design & Engineering Cable Sizing & Scheduling Single Line Diagram (SLD) Preparation Earthing & Lightning Protection System Design Transformer & Power Cable Sizing Basic Load Flow and Fault Analysis Qualifications: B.E./B.Tech in Electrical & Electronics Engineering or related field. 2+ years of experience in electrical design, preferably in the power industry. Knowledge of AutoCAD / ETAP / Electrical design software is a plus. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Preferred Candidate: Candidates with experience in substations, switchyards, or power infrastructure projects. Ability to work in a team and support senior engineers in design activities.
