About the role
As a Ruby on Rails Developer, you will be responsible for backend development with a focus on Ruby on Rails (Rails 7). Your key responsibilities will include: - Strong experience in Ruby on Rails (Rails 7) with a focus on backend development - Hands-on knowledge of MVC architecture and building RESTful APIs - Experience working with ActiveRecord, background jobs, authentication, and authorization - Proficiency in Hotwire (Turbo Frames and Turbo Streams) for building reactive applications - Experience developing Stimulus controllers and managing frontend interactions - Ability to build dynamic UIs without relying on heavy JavaScript frameworks - Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for frontend integration with Rails views - Experience integrating Hotwire with Rails views effectively - Solid experience with PostgreSQL and strong SQL skills including queries, joins, indexing, and optimization - Knowledge of database design, schema management, and Rails migrations - Hands-on experience working with the Replit IDE - Familiarity with Replit AI and using AI tools to accelerate development and debugging - Ability to write effective prompts for AI-assisted coding - Experience using AI to generate, refactor, and debug code - Strong understanding of the limitations of AI-generated outputs and validation best practices - Familiarity with Git and basic deployment workflows (Heroku/AWS/Render) Qualifications Required: - Basic understanding of React.js and component-based architecture - Ability to work with React for frontend-heavy features when required - Working knowledge of Node.js and REST APIs - Experience with Python for scripting, automation, or backend tasks - Experience in third-party API integration using JSON, webhooks, and OAuth (Note: Any additional details of the company were not provided in the job description.)
