Fintech Engineer Payments

As a Fintech Engineer specializing in Payments, you will play a crucial role in owning and scaling our payments ecosystem to ensure the smooth operation of modern financial products. You will have the opportunity to work on mission-critical payment systems, tackle complex money movement challenges, and contribute directly to the growth of our business. Key Responsibilities: - Develop and maintain Stripe Connect integrations including Express onboarding, payouts, holds, escrow, and webhooks - Implement Plaid-powered bank account linking and ACH verification processes - Design and optimize KYC and identity verification workflows - Create payment state machines with comprehensive audit logging capabilities - Establish idempotent and fault-tolerant payment APIs - Build secure and scalable financial infrastructure Qualifications Required: - Minimum 3 years of experience in building production payment systems - Proficiency in Stripe Connect, particularly beyond basic Checkout functionalities - Strong skills in Node.js and PostgreSQL - Experience with transactions, database locking, and audit trails - Understanding of webhooks, idempotency, and retry logic - Knowledge of PCI DSS compliance and secure data handling Additional Company Details: - Plaid integration experience is a plus - Familiarity with marketplace or escrow payment architecture preferred - Previous experience in startup or early-stage companies advantageous - Ability to develop highly available financial systems will be valued If you are passionate about shaping the future of payments and financial infrastructure, we encourage you to apply for this role.
