Consultant / Platform Consultant

Role overview This role is a foundation role for platform consulting , not a traditional Linux operations-only system administrator position. Strong Linux fundamentals are mandatory . Based on aptitude and interest, engineers are trained and inducted into one or more technology towers : Ansible Automation Red Hat OpenShift OpenStack Nutanix Kubernetes Platform (NKP) Global exposure : Engineers who demonstrate strong technical depth, ownership, and customer confidence may be considered for on-site opportunities across KubeRox global entities. Key responsibilities Customer-facing platform delivery Participate in enterprise customer engagements involving: Platform deployments Infrastructure modernization Platform upgrades and lifecycle operations Execute assigned implementation tasks aligned to solution architecture and project plans. Support configuration, validation, and stabilization of platform components. Collaborate with KubeRox architects/SMEs and customer stakeholders during delivery and support phases. Build a deeper understanding of platform behavior beyond task execution ("why" behind the steps). Consulting & execution discipline Troubleshoot issues using strong Linux and system-level fundamentals (logs, processes, services, networking). Follow structured delivery processes, governance, and quality standards. Contribute to customer-facing documentation (as-built docs, operational guides, SOPs, runbooks). Take progressive ownership of platform components and delivery workstreams. Maintain professional communication with customers and internal teams. Required skills and experience Mandatory Linux fundamentals 3 4 years of hands-on Linux administration experience in production environments. Strong understanding of: Linux boot process, system, services Process, memory, CPU, disk, and I/O troubleshooting Filesystems, LVM, permissions, ACLs Networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, firewall basics) Log analysis and root-cause troubleshooting Shell scripting (bash) for automation and diagnostics. Desired Attributes Willingness to move into platform and consulting roles . Comfort working in customer environments and participating in delivery discussions. Ownership mindset, learning attitude, and ability to work with structure and deadlines. Openness to learn one or more technology towers (OpenShift / OpenStack / NKP / Ansible) as part of the growth path. Nice to have Exposure to virtualization, private cloud, or enterprise infrastructure stacks. Familiarity with automation tools, Git basics, or CI/CD concepts. Basic understanding of containers/Kubernetes concepts.
