Role Overview: In this IT role at Kuehne+Nagel, you will manage, develop, and support the technology infrastructure crucial for powering the company's global systems and operations. Your contribution plays a vital role in enabling the delivery of various goods, including fresh fruit and time-sensitive healthcare products, to people worldwide. Key Responsibilities: - Implement and model analytical output ports for data products, ensuring discoverability and consumption across different domains - Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines using Dagster as the primary orchestration framework, with a focus on modernizing existing ETL workflows - Build and manage data transformation layers using dbt, ensuring well-tested, documented, and version-controlled models - Architect and optimize Snowflake data warehouse structures, including schemas, tables, views, and materialization strategies - Provision and manage AWS infrastructure components supporting the data platform, such as S3, Lambda, IAM, and EC2 - Collaborate with DevOps specialists to build and operate data-centric infrastructure - Integrate data from various source systems, including logistics and supply chain platforms, Oracle, and PostgreSQL databases - Evaluate new tools and technologies to enhance the data platform landscape - Implement data quality checks, monitoring, and alerting across pipeline stages - Maintain CI/CD workflows for data pipeline code and infrastructure-as-code deployments - Support and troubleshoot production data issues, performing root cause analysis and remediation Qualifications Required: - 25 years of experience in Data Engineering or a similar role - Strong experience with Snowflake, SQL, Python, dbt, and AWS - Hands-on experience building and maintaining data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows - Strong knowledge of data modeling and data warehouse design - Experience developing and supporting data products for analytics and reporting - Expertise in Snowflake architecture, performance optimization, and RBAC - Experience integrating data from WMS, ERP, TMS, Oracle, PostgreSQL, or similar systems - Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, data quality, and monitoring frameworks - Logistics, Supply Chain, or Blue Yonder WMS experience is preferred - Strong communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills Additional Company Details: At Kuehne+Nagel, your work transcends logistics and contributes to ordinary and special moments in people's lives globally.
