About the role

As a Cybersecurity Specialist at Kyndryl, you will be at the forefront of protecting customers computer systems and networks from unauthorized access, use, disclosure, disruption, modification, or destruction. You will utilize various tools and techniques to defend against a wide range of cyber threats, such as malware, ransomware, phishing attacks, and data breaches. Moreover, you will have the opportunity to implement new cybersecurity systems and policies to ensure the protection of customers data and assets. You will monitor threats from cybersecurity systems, conduct proof-of-concepts with new cybersecurity software, and provide automation scripts for threat hunting using lessons learned from cyber-attacks. Your responsibilities will include conducting penetration testing and threat and vulnerability assessments of applications, operating systems, and networks. You will respond to cybersecurity breaches, identify intrusions, research and evaluate cybersecurity threats, and perform root cause analysis. Additionally, you will assist in the creation and implementation of security solutions and work in the area of security innovation by creating and experimenting with new ideas that could revolutionize cybersecurity practices. In terms of qualifications, you should have: - 2+ years of experience in a Cybersecurity field - Expertise in network routing and switching, troubleshooting, engineering, load balancing, virtual private networks - Proficiency in cloud computing and security architecture, hybrid and multi-cloud computing, various cloud-based systems and services - Familiarity with vulnerability scanning, application security, penetration testing, encryption, threat modeling, identity and access management, secure coding - Good knowledge of incident response, security operations, IT security architecture, risk management, cyber threat hunting, cybersecurity standards Preferred skills and experience include: - Certification in CISSP, CompTIA Security+, Certified Cloud Security Professional, GIAC Security Essentials - Security Operations Center experience - Knowledge of Security tooling for Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), Anti-virus Vulnerability Management Scanning and Remediation - Technical architecture skills - Experience Advising C suite - Familiarity with DevSecOps practices, integrating security into agile development processes - Knowledge of emerging security technologies and trends like artificial intelligence/machine learning in security, zero trust architecture, secure remote access solutions At Kyndryl, diversity is valued, and employees are encouraged to bring their whole selves to work.
