Mainframe CICS System Programmer Subject Matter Expert

As a Mainframe CICS System Programmer at Kyndryl, you will be responsible for solving complex problems and identifying potential future issues across various platforms and services. Your role will involve managing systems data, delivering solutions, ensuring security compliance, and prioritizing tickets to provide the best client experience. You will work at the forefront of new technology and modernization, collaborating with some of the world's largest clients. Key Responsibilities: - Possess 9+ years of experience in CICS systems programming - Demonstrate basic knowledge of z/OS, Unix System Services, SMP/E, REXX, Java, VSAM, and third-party products - Experience in CICS transaction server and related ISV products - Act as a subject-matter expert, providing technical support during planning, coordination, installation, implementation, and testing of releases, upgrades, or changes to CICS and related ISV products - Capable of upgrading/installing and migrating CICS transaction servers - Diagnose CICS system and related product issues and perform root-cause analysis - Proficient in upgrading/installing and supporting IBM & ISV related products, with skills in P2V, V2V, and P2P migrations Qualifications Required: - Minimum bachelors degree in IT-related field or equivalent work experience - Preferably have experience in the banking or financial services industry - Knowledge of Assembler, COBOL, CICS, and DB2 - Ability to work independently as well as part of a team - Excellent troubleshooting and customer service skills - Willingness to participate in on-call rotation with engineering teams - Ability to follow a project through to completion or work as part of a larger team on complex projects At Kyndryl, diversity is celebrated, and employees are encouraged to bring their unique perspectives and experiences to the table.
