About the role
Job Description – Airborne Senior Software Development Engineer Company: L&T Technology Services (LTTS) Location: Chennai, India Key Responsibilities Design and develop Airborne System Software. Develop and maintain scalable, modular, fault-tolerant, and portable software for Gogo Airborne Broadband Systems running on Embedded Linux platforms. Support WAN technologies including ATG, ATG4, Ku, 2Ku , etc Conduct technical design reviews, code reviews, unit testing, and system testing. Collaborate with Systems Engineering and Architecture teams to understand and implement evolving requirements. Work with Product Management teams on product roadmap and business objectives. Interface with Operations teams to support business continuity and system reliability. Provide technical leadership to software development teams in an Embedded Linux environment. Mandatory Skills Strong hands-on experience in Embedded Linux software development . Strong Object-Oriented Design (OOD) and implementation skills. Strong programming and debugging skills in: Java C++ Python Strong knowledge of IP Networking Protocols and Technologies . Experience with Database and Web Technologies . Experience in Agile Development (Stories & Sprints). Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Test Automation methodologies. Preferred Skills Polyglot programming experience. Virtualization and containerization: Docker KVM VirtualBox Microservices architecture and event-driven system design. Knowledge of Software Performance Measurement and System Performance Analysis. Experience with CI/CD tools such as: Jenkins Spinnaker Experience developing products for FAA-regulated aviation environments .
