About the role
The FBG Sensor Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and developing Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) sensors and interrogators. The role includes defining technical specifications, conducting validation tests, and ensuring compliance with national and international standards. " , responsibilities:["Define requirements and design specifications of bare and packaged FBG sensors. ","Perform specific design analysis at the inscription level for both packaged and bare FBG sensors. ","Create technical project documentation for the FBG part of all L2MRail projects and perform regular updates. ","Support the testing team in the creation of test specifications for packaged FBG sensors and test bare sensors. ","Innovate and adapt optical technologies like connectors, optical fiber, FBG sensors, and FBG interrogators related to all L2MRail projects at national and international standards. ","Support a team in developing the FBG sensor and FBG interrogator (both hardware and software levels). ","Support the photonics team in developing testing equipment for packaged FBG sensors and FBG interrogators (hardware and software). ","Define test methodology and conduct tests to ensure/validate product performance, quality, and reliability of FBG sensors and FBG interrogators. ","Develop validation procedures to test various FBG interrogator technologies. ","Identify and validate the FBG part of all L2MRail products, identify technology risks, and work with the team to mitigate theM ","Handle practical aspects of optical technologies like splicing, connectors, optical MUX, and WDM ","Work with cross-functional teams to tune and validate electronics hardware components.
