About the role
As a Specialist, Systems Administration at L3Harris, your role involves managing critical escalations and providing advanced technical support for OSS infrastructure. You will serve as a technical architect and subject matter expert, leading datacenter operations, disaster recovery planning, and complex system integrations. Your deep expertise across multiple platforms including Windows, Linux, virtualization, storage, and networking will be instrumental in designing solutions, troubleshooting complex issues, and providing customer-facing support. Your responsibilities also include managing vendor relationships, maintaining technical documentation, and implementing enterprise-level infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Manage L3 and above escalations for OSS infrastructure, providing expert-level troubleshooting and resolution for complex technical issues - Lead datacenter planning, design, implementation, and upgradation initiatives including hardware/software lifecycle management and server firmware upgrades - Architect, design, and implement technical solutions for enterprise infrastructure including disaster recovery planning and execution - Administer and troubleshoot multi-platform environments including Windows, Linux, VMware/Hyper-V virtualization, storage systems, and network infrastructure - Manage application integrations, workflow automation, and data flow troubleshooting to ensure seamless operations - Oversee backup planning, implementation, and management to ensure business continuity - Utilize NMO tools, ITSM platforms, and monitoring solutions for proactive infrastructure management - Create and maintain technical documentation including design documents, SOPs, LLD, DLD, and test cases - Coordinate vendor management activities and OEM support relationships - Provide direct customer-facing support for critical issue resolution and technical consultations Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and minimum of 4 years of prior relevant experience - At least 3 years of hands-on experience in datacenter design, implementation, and management - Proven expertise in Windows and Linux administration - Strong knowledge of virtualization technologies (VMware/Hyper-V) - Experience with storage and network administration - Demonstrated ability in technical architecture and solution design If you possess Microsoft Role-Based Certifications (MCSA, MCSE, or equivalent), CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate), VCP (VMware Certified Professional), or Linux Administrator Certification (RHCSA, RHCE, or equivalent), it would be considered as preferred additional skills for this role at L3Harris.
