Senior Transmissions Engineer - LBS (Laalithya Business Solutions) Senior Transmissions Engineer We currently have an opening for a Senior Transmissions Engineer. Experience : 4+ years Primary Responsibilities Provide hardware, software, and Data I/O system support for post-production facility/data centre. Assist in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and managing server farms. Assist in basic network troubleshooting. Assist with installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and managing Transmissions software. Assist globally with external clients including software plugin issues and transfer system issues. Assist with internal client issues including software, transfer issue and client rejection issues. Perform necessary periodic infrastructure security audits. Create and modify shell scripts to perform tasks. Hands on experience with MySQL and/or MariaDB. Utilize technical knowledge and support expertise to maintain business SLAs and product uptime. Work closely with other support groups: development, networking, quality control, build/release engineering, various technical services personnel, and customers. Assist Senior Engineers with day-to-day duties. Qualifications The ideal candidate must possess the following knowledge, experience, and skill-set: At least 4+ years of experience in Linux Administration. Familiarity with VMWare and AWS management is an added advantage. Experience with Aspera, Signiant, Smartjog and TIXstream is an added advantage. Good in installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and managing Transmissions software. Experience in automation (ansible/shell, Perl/python). Experience with Squid, Zabbix or any other monitoring tools.
