Alteryx Administrator (Bengaluru)

Primary Responsibilities - Administer Alteryx software and servers in 24x7 highly available production workplace - Plans and manages software/hardware updates and upgrades; implements in a timely manner - Resolves Alteryx and customer issues within the service level agreements - Provides support to user community on various Alteryx/Alteryx Server and Desktop issues - Document and publish Alteryx workbooks and data extracts / Alteryx workflows/ apps/macros - Work with Alteryx workflows to automate, optimizing efficiency and ease of use for process owners. Workflows may include: API calls to external data sources, external ODBC data sources, handling of errors and outlier cases, use of various macro types, potential Python coding - Configure and manage project permissions; provides periodic reports on Alteryx and Server usage - Proactively collects and monitors server and performance metrics, conducts performance tuning and capacity management - Setup and maintain Alteryx configuration including, but not limited to:Gallery and security roles setup - Establish connectivity between Alteryx Designer and Server and leverage job scheduling - Make recommendations on server configuration and optimize for the enterprise. - Able to parse and understand the logging generated by the Gallery Server and use that to analyze the performance of the server. - Create and maintain documentation for Alteryx policies, procedures and best practices - Interact with other internal departments such as database administrators, web technologies, Identity Management and outside consultants to deliver scalable and highly effective analytic solutions for the business - Participate in and contribute to the implementation of best industry practices - Work with IT and business users to resolve issues Required Skills/Experience - Bachelors Degree in computer science or an analytical discipline or equivalent experience - Proven experience with Alteryx server administration - 5+ years overall IT exp .
