Ltd. Need Immediate Joiner Job Summary We are looking for a highly experienced PostgreSQL Developer for a database migration project. Mandatory Requirement: Candidate must have a minimum of 6 years of hands-on PostgreSQL development experience. Candidates without 6+ years of relevant PostgreSQL experience will not be considered. Key Responsibilities Design and execute complex database migration activities to PostgreSQL.Analyze existing database schemas, tables, functions, procedures, triggers, views, and dependencies.Develop complex SQL and PL/pgSQL queries, functions, procedures, and migration scripts.Perform schema and large-volume data migrations.Handle data type conversions and database compatibility issues.Perform pre-migration and post-migration data validation and reconciliation.Optimize SQL queries, indexes, execution plans, and overall PostgreSQL performance.Troubleshoot migration failures, data inconsistencies, and performance bottlenecks.Develop automation scripts for migration and validation.Support UAT, production migration, cutover, rollback, and post-production activities.Coordinate with DBA, application, DevOps, QA, and infrastructure teams.Mandatory Skills Minimum 6+ years of hands-on PostgreSQL experience MUST HAVE.7+ years of overall database/development experience.Strong hands-on expertise in PostgreSQL, SQL and PL/pgSQL.Proven experience working on database migration projects.Strong experience with functions, stored procedures, triggers, views, indexes, sequences, constraints, and partitions.Strong knowledge of query optimization and PostgreSQL performance tuning.Experience migrating and validating large-volume datasets.Strong understanding of PostgreSQL backup, restore, replication, and database administration concepts.Experience with migration/ETL tools.Scripting experience using Python/Shell is preferred.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Preferred Migration Experience Experience in one or more of the following is highly preferred: Oracle PostgreSQL | SQL Server PostgreSQL | MySQL PostgreSQL | PostgreSQL PostgreSQL Screening Criteria PostgreSQL Experience: 6+ Years Mandatory Overall Experience: 7+ Years Database Migration Experience: Mandatory SQL / PL/pgSQL: Mandatory Performance Tuning: Mandatory Immediate / Short Notice Joiners: Preferred Compensation: 526,883.27 - 1,863,974.49 per year Work Location: In person .
