Manufacturing Engineer, Sr.

As a Virtual Manufacturing Engineer at Lam India in Bangalore, you will be an integral part of the Virtual Manufacturing Engineering team. Your primary responsibilities will include: - Executing virtual builds for process modules across various Lam product families, ensuring accurate accommodation of configuration options - Deriving M-BOM from the Engineering BOM, aligning with manufacturing requirements - Performing BOM comparison to validate consistency between CAD and SAP BOM - Developing detailed Process Plans and defining the Sequence of Events (SoE) - Partnering on virtual build activities to proactively identify potential issues prior to physical build execution - Creating process documentation and work instructions in compliance with Lam Research standards - Attending design reviews with Product Engineering to provide inputs on manufacturability and process optimization - Driving and leading Continuous Improvement Projects within the virtual manufacturing team Qualifications required for this role: - Educational qualification: Master's / Bachelor's in Mechanical / Manufacturing / Production / Industrial Engineering - Experience: Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant industry experience for Bachelor's and up to 2 years for Masters Mandatory Skills: - Proficiency in Delmia or any other virtual/digital manufacturing software - Experience in defining assembly sequence, M-BOM, DFMA assessment, ergonomic simulation - Ability to create Operation Method Sheets (OMS) and Work instructions for large assemblies - Exposure to design reviews and problem-solving techniques Preferred Qualifications: - Experience in assembling products in a manufacturing setup - Knowledge of Semiconductor equipment and Siemens products - Exposure to problem-solving methodologies - Excellent communication and presentation skills At Lam Research, we value diversity and inclusion to empower individuals to achieve their full potential.
