About the role
As an SDET-2, you will collaborate closely with product managers, developers, DevOps teams, and architects to ensure the delivery of reliable, secure, and high-quality software products while embedding quality throughout the software development lifecycle. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web, API, backend, and integration testing. Build and execute automated test suites to validate functionality, performance, reliability, and security. Develop reusable automation utilities, libraries, and testing components. Collaborate with engineering teams to define test strategies and acceptance criteria. Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing. Perform root cause analysis and troubleshoot complex issues across applications and environments. Participate in architecture discussions and provide inputs from a quality engineering perspective. Improve test coverage, execution efficiency, and release confidence. Design and implement performance, regression, smoke, and integration testing strategies. Monitor quality metrics and contribute to continuous process improvements. Work closely with developers to ensure early defect detection and prevention. Required Skills Strong programming skills in Java, Python, or JavaScript/TypeScript. Hands-on experience with automation tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or Appium. Experience testing REST APIs using Postman, Rest Assured, or similar frameworks. Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and test design techniques. Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or GitLab CI. Experience with version control systems including Git. Familiarity with SQL and database validation techniques. Understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems. Experience working in Agile and Scrum environments. Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills. Desirable Skills Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. Knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes. Exposure to performance testing tools such as JMeter, Gatling, or K6. Experience with test reporting and observability platforms. Knowledge of security testing concepts. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. 25 years of experience in software testing and automation engineering. Demonstrated expertise in developing automation frameworks and improving engineering quality practices.
