Public Health Engineering Manager

Engineering Manager To lead the Public Health Engineering (PHE) design function for large-scale infrastructure and building projects, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective, and code-compliant designs for water supply, drainage, sewage treatment, and plumbing systems. The role focuses on integration, innovation, and sustainable design in alignment with project and organizational goals. SECTION III: KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ ACCOUNTABILITIES Lead design of water distribution, stormwater, and wastewater systems. Ensure compliance with NBC, CPHEEO, and local authority codes. Review hydraulic calculations and system layouts. Integrate PHE design with civil, structural, and architectural elements. Validate material specifications and equipment selection. Guide section engineers in preparing BOQs and coordination drawings. SECTION IV: KEY INTERACTIONS Internal Stakeholder Purpose of Interaction Design Leads from HVAC, Electrical, FPS, ELV, and BIM Teams Structural and Architectural Teams External Stakeholder Purpose of Interaction Clients and Consultants Local Municipal Bodies and Pollution Control Boards SECTION V: KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE Minimum Qualifications B.E./B.Tech in Civil/Mechanical/Environmental Engineering Language Skills English (Working Proficiency), Regional Language Preferred, Hindi EXPERIENCE Years of Experience 1520 years Nature of Experience Extensive experience in designing and managing PHE systems including water supply, drainage, STP/ETP, and sustainable plumbing solutions for large-scale building and infrastructure projects, ensuring code compliance and multidisciplinary coordination. sSECTION VI: TECHNICAL & LEADERSHIP / BEHAVIORAL SKILLS REQUIRED TO EXECUTE THE ROLE SKILLS Technical Skills Strong knowledge of plumbing, drainage, water treatment, and wastewater systems / Familiarity with NBC, IS codes, CPHEEO Manual, and LEED/IGBC standards Leadership / Behavioral Skills Strong Coordination and Communication Skills / Quality and Sustainability Focus / Client Orientation and Accountability .
