About the role
- Electrical System Design & Calculation Basic & Detailed engineering of Electrical & Automation system for: Stacker-cum-Reclaimers Twin Boom Stackers Barrel Reclaimers Wagon Tippler Systems (Rotaside, Crescent, Tandem) Paddle Feeders Ship Loaders Port Cranes Steel Plant Material Handling Equipment Crushing & Screening Systems Surface miners 2. Drive & Motion Control Engineering Selection, sizing, and specification of: LT and HT Motors (Squirrel Cage / Slip Ring) VFDs / Soft Starters Dynamic, Regenerative & Plugging braking systems Coordination with mechanical team for: Gearbox ratios Coupling types Brake torque requirements Inertia matching 3. Electrical Equipment & Vendor Engineering Preparation of technical specifications, datasheets, and BOQs for: Electric motors VFDs, Soft starters Braking resistors and brake panels Control panels (MCC, PCC, VFD panels) Limit switches, encoders, load cells Control desks and local control stations Cable reels / festoon systems Junction boxes and field instrumentation Technical bid evaluation (TBE) and vendor clarifications 4. Power Distribution & Protection Design and review of: Single Line Diagrams (SLD) Load lists and power balances Short-circuit & coordination studies Cable sizing & voltage drop calculations Earthing & Lightning protection system Illumination system Layouts preparation & interface check Substation/Electrical rooms layout design 5. Safety & Compliance Electrical safety design in accordance with: IEC / IS / OSHA guidelines Machinery Directive (where applicable) 6. Testing, Commissioning & Site Support FAT & SAT participation for electrical systems Supervision during installation & commissioning Troubleshooting during commissioning and trial runs Support for performance guarantee (PG) tests
