Additional Qualifications Masters in Environmental Engineering, Industrial Safety, or Occupational Health (AICTE/State Board approved). Diploma in Industrial Safety (RLI/CLI). MBA (Operations/Industrial Management) is an advantage. Certified Lead Auditor: ISO 45001:2018 & ISO 14001:2015. Add-on certifications: First Aid, Fire Safety, Risk Assessment. NEBOSH / IOSH / OSHA certifications are an added advantage. Key Responsibilities Strategic Leadership Advise top management on EHS strategy and compliance. Translate organizational goals into actionable EHS strategies. Drive continuous improvement in HSE standards across projects. Policy & System Development Develop and enhance HSE policies, procedures, and management systems. Conduct regular reviews and recommend improvements for effectiveness. Operational Oversight Lead HSE planning, training, risk assessments, and audits across EPC & O&M projects. Approve contractor HSE plans and ensure site compliance with JSAs, PTWs, and safety standards. Coordinate incident investigations and ensure corrective/preventive measures. Ensure full HSE legal and regulatory compliance across all operations. People & Team Management Lead and mentor the corporate and site-based EHS teams. Drive performance through structured appraisals and feedback. Ensure competency development through cross-training and workshops. Digital Proficiency Hands-on with EHS platforms (SAP EHS, Intelex, View EHS, etc.). Proficient in digital workflows, mobile-based inspections, and real-time alerts. Strong data analysis skills using BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Excel Dashboards). Promote predictive analytics for proactive EHS risk mitigation. Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement Liaise with regulatory bodies and ensure timely reporting and compliance. Represent company in legal or audit matters related to safety incidents. Continuous Improvement & Reporting Identify and implement global best practices in HSE. Establish and monitor project HSE KPIs. Drive internal and external workshops on safety lessons learned. Ensure timely and accurate reporting of EHS performance metrics. Key Skills Strong leadership, communication, and decision-making skills. Ability to manage complex, multicultural, and high-risk project environments. Thorough understanding of statutory and international EHS regulations.
