About the role
Lead the mechanical design and integration of underwater electromechanical systems. Develop pressureresistant housings, seals, and gaskets for underwater environments. Create and review 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, GA layouts, and assembly documentation. Design for waterproofing, corrosion resistance, and thermal management. Collaborate with optics, electronics, and materials teams to ensure system integrity. Support prototype builds, testing, and validation in pressure chambers and underwater trials. Ensure compliance with MILSTD and IP68/IP69K standards for underwater applications. Coordinate with vendors for precision machining, sealing components, and specialized materials. Mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth. Preferred If Experience in designing underwater connectors, housings, or propulsion systems. Knowledge of marine standards and defense requirements. Ability to deliver in fasttrack development environments. Strong team spirit and leadership qualities.
