About the role
Job Purpose To execute telecom system design for offshore wind platforms during FEED and EPC phases, ensuring compliance with project specifications, international standards, and client requirements, while supporting multidisciplinary coordination and project delivery. Key Responsibilities Engineering & Design Develop telecom design basis, system architecture, and detailed engineering deliverables Design systems including PAGA, CCTV, Access Control, VoIP, SCS/Data Networks, Radio (VHF/UHF, TETRA/DMR), VSAT, GSM/LTE, and Weather Monitoring Prepare specifications, datasheets, interconnection drawings, cable schedules, MTOs Review equipment layouts Technical & Integration Ensure compliance with IEC, EN, ITU, DNV standards and project specifications Address hazardous area requirements and protection philosophies Coordinate with Electrical, Instrumentation & Control and Structural disciplines Review vendor documents and support technical bid evaluations Project Execution Support FEED, detailed engineering, and EPC phases Participate in document review, design reviews, HAZID/HAZOP, and interface meetings Provide support during construction, FAT/SAT, and commissioning Provide response to Site Queries Conduct site/yard visits and address field engineering requirements as needed. Reporting & Interfaces Reports to: Telecom Manager, Functional Head (Engineering) Interfaces: Internal: Engineering disciplines, Construction Key Requirements Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Electronics / Communication Engineering (or equivalent) Experience 6–15 years in offshore telecom engineering within EPC projects Experience in detailed design phases Technical Knowledge Offshore telecom systems: PAGA, CCTV, ACS, VoIP, SCS, Radio, VSAT, Transmission Systems Layout review, clash resolution. Fibre optic and copper cabling systems Hazardous area classifications and equipment selection International standards (IEC, EN, ITU, DNV) Skills & Competencies Vendor document review and interface coordination System reliability, redundancy, and capacity planning Strong communication and multidisciplinary coordination Ability to manage multiple EPC deliverables and timelines Additional Accountabilities Ensure compliance with HSE and quality standards Adhere to company policies and regulatory requirements Support continuous improvement and knowledge sharing
