About the role
We are seeking a Trainee PCB Designer to join our team and assist in the design and development of printed circuit boards (PCBs) using software tools such as Protel and Altium As a Trainee PCB Designer, you will work closely with experienced PCB designers and engineers to learn the fundamentals of PCB design, gain practical experience, and contribute to the creation of high-quality PCB layouts This is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in electronics and a desire to pursue a career in PCB design Key Responsibilities:Learn and understand the principles of PCB design, including schematic capture, component placement, routing, and design rules Collaborate with senior PCB designers and engineers to create and revise PCB layouts, ensuring that they meet project specifications and industry standards Assist in the generation of schematics, netlists, and bill of materials (BOM) for PCB projects Gain proficiency in using PCB design software tools, such as Protel and Altium, through training and hands-on experience Participate in design reviews and provide input to optimize PCB layouts for manufacturability, reliability, and performance Learn to work with various electronic components, including surface-mount devices (SMDs), through-hole components, and connectors Assist in conducting design validation tests and troubleshooting PCB prototypes Follow company procedures and best practices to maintain accurate documentation and version control of PCB designs Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in PCB design technology and techniques
