About the role
Role Overview: As a Database Administrator at Le Quai de l'Immobilier - Saint-Egrve, based in Agra, your primary responsibility will be to install, configure, and maintain database servers to ensure high availability, performance, and security. You will be tasked with managing user access, monitoring system health, performing regular backups and restores, and implementing disaster recovery procedures. Additionally, you will play a key role in optimizing queries, tuning performance, managing database changes, and supporting development teams with schema updates and deployment processes. It will be essential for you to document configurations, follow established change-management practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support business operations effectively. Key Responsibilities: - Install, configure, and maintain database servers to ensure high availability, performance, and security. - Manage user access, monitor system health, perform regular backups and restores, and implement disaster recovery procedures. - Optimize queries, tune performance, manage database changes, and support development teams with schema updates and deployment processes. - Document configurations, follow change-management practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve issues and support business operations. Qualifications Required: - Strong skills in Database Administration and managing production Databases. - Proficiency in Database Design, including schema modeling and normalization. - Experience with Replication and related high availability or failover mechanisms. - Ability to diagnose and resolve issues through effective Troubleshooting and root-cause analysis. - Knowledge of backup, recovery, security, and performance tuning best practices. - Experience with at least one major RDBMS (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, Oracle); familiarity with NoSQL systems is an advantage. - Comfort working in an on-site environment and collaborating with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Relevant certifications (e.g., Oracle, Microsoft, PostgreSQL) are a plus.
