InDesign Javascript Developer

You will be responsible for developing and maintaining automation solutions to optimize publishing processes. Your key responsibilities will include: - Develop, test, and maintain JavaScript-based automation scripts for Adobe InDesign. - Create and manage XML workflows for automated document generation and processing. - Collaborate with design, production, and development teams to gather and analyze requirements. - Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code following best practices and coding standards. - Debug and troubleshoot issues to optimize performance and ensure seamless integration. - Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality and adherence to standards. - Develop and maintain technical documentation related to automation scripts and workflows. - Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to InDesign, JavaScript, and XML. Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field with 4+ Years of experience in JavaScript development, with specific experience in Adobe InDesign automation. - Strong knowledge of InDesign scripting and proficiency in JavaScript. - Expertise in XML and related technologies (XSLT, XSD, XPath). - Experience with other automation tools and scripting languages (AppleScript, ExtendScript). - Knowledge of InDesign Server and related automation capabilities. - Familiarity with database systems and integration. - Experience with unit testing and test-driven development (TDD). - Understanding of typography, layout design, and digital publishing standards. - Understanding of software development methodologies (Agile, Scrum) and version control systems (Git). - Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration skills.
