Senior Product Software Engineer

As a Senior Product Software Engineer I, you will be responsible for developing scalable backend services, optimizing system performance, and contributing to architecture decisions for large-scale distributed systems. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs - Build scalable and reliable distributed systems - Collaborate with global engineering teams (US & India) - Participate in system design, code reviews, testing, and CI/CD processes - Monitor production systems and provide support through on-call rotations - Improve system performance, fault tolerance, observability, and resiliency - Contribute to architectural discussions and technical decision-making Qualifications Required: - 5+ years of software development experience - Strong coding skills in Java or Python - Experience with Distributed Systems and Microservices Architecture - Hands-on experience with REST APIs and API-driven applications - Strong knowledge of MySQL or PostgreSQL - Experience with CI/CD, testing, and code quality practices Additional Details: The company prefers candidates with skills in Spring Boot (for Java developers), Kafka, Kinesis, or other event-driven/streaming technologies, Docker and Kubernetes, Terraform or Infrastructure as Code tools, and experience working with cloud platforms like AWS/GCP/Azure. High-throughput and low-latency system experience is also desirable.
